The Canada Job Grant Program provides employers with funding to train new or existing employees to meet the skill requirements for jobs that need to be filled. This flexible program is designed to meet the needs of businesses of all sizes, in all industries and regions.
The employer invests one‐third of the training costs and gains the benefit of a worker who is skilled and ready to work. The Canada Job Grant Program will reimburse employers for the remaining two‐thirds of eligible training costs up to a maximum of $10,000 per grant.
Program Features
Employer Driven: Employers decide on who gets training and what type of training may be needed for new and existing employees.
Shared Costs: Training costs are shared between the program and the employer.
Employment: Participants have a new or better job at the end of training.
